Common Causes
We Respond to All Types of Water Damage
No matter the source, Wolf is equipped to handle it. Here are the most common water damage situations we respond to across the Salem area and beyond.
01
Burst or Leaking Pipes Most common
A single burst pipe can release hundreds of gallons in minutes. We respond immediately, stop ongoing damage, and begin extraction and drying right away.
02
Flooded Basements
Heavy rain, failed sump pumps, and foundation cracks can leave inches of standing water in your basement. We extract, dry, and treat for mold — fast.
03
Roof Leaks & Storm Damage
Oregon storms can push water through damaged roofs into ceilings and walls. We secure the structure, extract water, and dry before mold takes hold.
04
Appliance Failures
Washing machines, dishwashers, water heaters, and refrigerators can fail suddenly. We handle water damage from appliance leaks of any size.
05
Sewage Backup Biohazard
Sewage water is a serious biohazard. Our certified team safely extracts and sanitizes affected areas, following all safety and disposal protocols.
06
Firefighting Water Damage
After a fire, firefighting efforts can leave behind significant water damage. We handle both fire and water restoration as a single, coordinated process.

Do this immediately after water damage
- Turn off the water source if possible — shut off the main valve if needed.
- Turn off electricity to affected areas — water and live circuits are deadly.
- Do not use a regular vacuum to remove water — it can cause electrocution.
- Move valuables and furniture away from wet areas if it is safe to do so.
- Call Wolf at (971) 227-9695 — every hour of delay increases mold risk and structural damage.
We coordinate directly with your insurance
Water damage claims move fast — and so do we. Wolf coordinates directly with your insurance company, helping document the damage and communicate with your adjuster so your claim doesn't slow down your recovery.
Common Questions
Water Damage FAQ
How fast does mold grow after water damage?
Mold can begin growing within 24 to 48 hours of water exposure. That's why immediate response is critical — the faster we extract and dry, the lower your risk of a mold problem on top of the water damage.
Will my insurance cover water damage?
It depends on the cause. Sudden and accidental damage (burst pipe, appliance failure) is typically covered. Flooding from outside typically requires separate flood insurance. We'll help you document everything and coordinate with your adjuster.
How long does water damage restoration take?
Drying alone typically takes 3 to 5 days depending on the extent of saturation. Full restoration including repairs can take 1 to 3 weeks. We'll give you a clear timeline after our initial assessment.
What happens to my belongings during restoration?
We coordinate delivery of a storage pod right to your home so your belongings stay secure and accessible on-site — no outside facility required.
Can floors and drywall be saved, or do they need to be replaced?
It depends on how long the material has been wet and the type of material. We assess every situation individually — our goal is always to save as much as possible. When replacement is necessary, we handle that too.
Do you serve areas outside Salem?
Yes — we cover a wide region from the mid-Willamette Valley through the Portland Metro and into southern Washington, including Vancouver, Camas, Battle Ground, and more.
